Noooooooo! CLIFFHANGERS! Why!?
Bee,
good story but Reyna is beyond annoying The story was decent enough for me to finish the book but good gravy the incessant whining and back and forth in her head was beyond annoying。 I ended up just skipping most of her internal dialogue。

Literal Cliffhanger。Wow。 What an epic read! The characters, dialogue, the world building, it was just all epic! Very cool story! Not a lot of romance/steam, but a slow burn。 The only thing I’m upset about is that the next book doesn’t come out until next year! 😩 however I can’t wait to read it!

Sure。 The story held my attention enough and the cliffhanger is there so I want to know what happens even though I'm not biting at the bit for it。 。。。more

Review of Court of Ravens and RuinThe Shadow Bound Queen Book 1By Eliza RaineCan’t Wait For the Next Book!!This was such an exciting book to read! It snags your attention from the first page and keeps it until the last page, which unfortunately, is cliffhanger。 Normally, I absolutely hate cliffhangers, but every so often, one comes along that is just too much story to get it all in one book。 This book falls into that category and rather than ranting against it, I can go with the flow。 But that d Review of Court of Ravens and RuinThe Shadow Bound Queen Book 1By Eliza RaineCan’t Wait For the Next Book!!This was such an exciting book to read! can’t wait for the next one Gutted to realise how long the wait is because this was an addictive read finished in one sitting。 I love the fresh take on fae which is hard to do! And I’m already totally behind the slow burn romance! Great start to world building and I’m looking forward to see how the characters develop。

Enemies to lovers, action and danger, magic, excitement, and adventure! Enjoyed the read! Love the dynamic between Reyna and Mazrith! I like Reyna’s feistiness; she can be her own worse enemy, which can be annoying, but love that she has a kick booty attitude。 There’s slow burn thing going on between Reyna and Mazrith, but I’m excited to see how their chemistry will develop throughout this series。 You’ll need to continue the series for the full story; cliffhanger warning。 Another awesome read by Enemies to lovers, action and danger, magic, excitement, and adventure! Raye,
I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get into it。 It really has a great premise and everything I love in a book but the execution just wasn't there for me。 There were quite a few editing errors, I couldn't connect with either of the main characters, and it kind of fell flat for me。 The beginning was fast-paced and action-packed but as I read on it started to have a bit of a lull and the FMC was just so hard-headed and confrontational that I began to truly dislike her。 The MMC is quite I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get into it。 It really has a great premise and everything I love in a book but the execution just wasn't there for me。 There were quite a few editing errors, I couldn't connect with either of the main characters, and it kind of fell flat for me。 The beginning was fast-paced and action-packed but as I read on it started to have a bit of a lull and the FMC was just so hard-headed and confrontational that I began to truly dislike her。 The MMC is quite boring and monotone。 While, yes, he has a temper there is no other emotion to him。 He is grumpy, impatient, and angry all the time。 Also, the conversations between the characters has weird pacing and lacked emotion (IMO)。 Some things I did enjoy about the book: -the world building is pretty good -the story itself is interesting -I will always love an animal sidekickI think if you like storylines involving kidnapping, forced marriage, Viking folklore, fae, and foreboding visions and prophecies you will love this book。 On a side not I DNFd at the 60% mark。 At that point, there was zero spice or angst。 So if you are looking for a spicy ready this isn't for you。 。。。more

What an exciting beginning to the series!Eliza Raine is one talented writer。 A very well written book that is filled with so much adventure, action, mystery that you will have a hard time putting it down once you start reading it。 Even though it is a full story, it will only serve to wet your appetite to whatever is coming next。 Reyna comes from the gold court (one of 5 courts), doomed by her circumstances to serve others, she is kidnapped by the very mysterious shadow prince and then the wild r What an exciting beginning to the series!Eliza Raine is one talented writer。 A very well written book that is filled with so much adventure, action, mystery that you will have a hard time putting it down once you start reading it。 Even though it is a full story, it will only serve to wet your appetite to whatever is coming next。 Reyna comes from the gold court (one of 5 courts), doomed by her circumstances to serve others, she is kidnapped by the very mysterious shadow prince and then the wild ride truly begins I cannot wait to read the next book of this series。 I really liked the book and highly recommended。 The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because I was a tiny bit put off by Reyna’s attitude sometimes。 I love that she is fierce, strong-willed and smart, but her attitude was sometimes borderline petulant。 She would tell herself to play it smart and hold her tongue and then just do the opposite。 There is a fine line between being fierce and acting like it and being petulant just because she was angry at the situation she was put on。 Overall an amazing first book to this new series。 Enjoy 💜💜💜 。。。more

Sheila Ryals,
😻That was good minus her being a bit to stupid at times。 Hopefully she smarts up! I get she’s a captive but she’s been one her whole life。 She doesn’t act it though。 She makes a lot of stupid decisions that tend to not go with her upbringing。

This is the first book I've read from this author, and I loved this paranormal story。 It will not be my last book from this author。 I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series。 I absolutely loved the main characters in the story。 I can't wait for Reyna to let her guard down a little when it comes to Prince Mazrith because I know that once she actually does there will be intense chemistry and fireworks。 There is already something there, but they are fighting it so much, especially Reyna。 This is the first book I've read from this author, and I loved this paranormal story。 It will not be my last book from this author。 I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series。 I absolutely loved the main characters in the story。 I can't wait for Reyna to let her guard down a little when it comes to Prince Mazrith because I know that once she actually does there will be intense chemistry and fireworks。 There is already something there, but they are fighting it so much, especially Reyna。 I know she's weary of him, but I need her to trust him a little more。 I'm also enjoying Lhoris, Ellisar, Svagrior, Frima and Voror, I need Kara to grow a backbone。 This story is full of suspense, threats, enemies, surprises, laughs, adventure and more。 The author's writing style allowed me to clearly picture everything as she was very descriptive with everything。 I appreciated that a lot。 The story ends with a huge cliffhanger and I'm excited to read what happens next。 I feel as if the Queen of Shadow is doling out a majority of the stuff that keeps happening around and to Reyna, but I'm not sure she's acting alone。 I'm left with so many unanswered questions that I need answers to。 。。。more
